      Doll Maker Extraordinaire

  Some little girls merely play with dolls.  Not Pat Shivers, who started designing dolls at age nine.  She used twine to make hair for her dolls and food coloring to tint the hair.  Pat also delighted in making clothes for herself and her dolls.

 A native of Rockford, Illinois, Pat grew up in Southern California and has remained ever since.  She began styling real hair at the age of eleven and went on to become a Professional Hair Designer, opening her own Beauty Salon.

 By combining her superlative talents as a doll maker, hair designer, seamstress, and entrepreneur, Pat created her own line of custom-made dolls – the Raggnation Doll Collection.

 Pat has showcased her dolls around the country in cities, such as Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago.  She has won widespread acclaim for her dolls in film festivals, marketplaces, and of course, doll shows.  Pat has also appeared on radio and television with her dolls.

 Elements of Pat’s eclectic lifestyle, as a skier, scuba diver, roller skater, and equestrian, flow into the creation of each doll.  Her zest for life and adventure gives Raggnation Dolls their own unique stamp and artistic flair.  Pat has certainly achieved what she set out to do – create a whimsical and elegant line of Dolls.
